Nakula is one of Australia’s leading coconut-based brands, known for producing premium plant-based products across coconut water, coconut oil and dairy-free alternatives. Building on the success of its established range, the brand launched one of Australia’s first plant-based custards, made with a rich blend of coconut, cashews and almonds.

RPJ Design was engaged to create the packaging for an initial limited-edition Christmas release, developing a warm, illustration-led design that captured the indulgence of the product while staying connected to Nakula’s tropical brand essence. Following strong customer demand and national retail success, the product evolved from a seasonal release into a permanent Woolworths range.

We later refined the packaging into an evergreen design for the Nakula Plant-Based Vanilla Custard, balancing premium cues, gold detailing and a fresh tropical feel. The result is a distinctive and inviting packaging system that helped position the product as a credible, indulgent and accessible dairy-free alternative on shelf.
